The announcement was made during a press conference held as part of the AAP’s ‘Tiranga Sankalp Yatra’ in Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
“The objective of the Tiranga Yatra is to ensure the ‘aan baan shaan’ (pride, honor and glory) of the tricolor in the 75th year of the country’s independence. Uttar Pradesh’s policy has nicked the ‘aan baan shaan’ of the tricolor, ”said Sisodia, Delhi’s chief deputy minister.
“The BJP speaks of nationalism but when it comes to providing education to the nation’s children, it is they who usurp the funds for midday food destined for their education by the people in power,” he added.
Citing the death of a pregnant woman in Firozabad due to the alleged unavailability of hospital beds, he criticized the state government for the “lack” of health infrastructure.
“Youth are unemployed, farmers do not get adequate returns for their produce, and people in cities face corruption for doing even the smallest jobs,” he said.
Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh said the AAP will contest the elections in the 403 seats of the Uttar Pradesh assembly and announced a lot of benefits for the people if his party comes to power.
“AAP has resolved to rid UP of corruption, provide quality education to students, adequate returns to farmers for their agricultural products, safety for girls and women in the state,” he said.
“Three hundred units of power supply will be free for the poor, the water supply will be free, medical care will be free, employment will be guaranteed for young people, and if they do not find work, they will be given unemployment benefit,” Singh. he said, adding that his party has committed to fulfilling these promises before the tricolor.
The AAP leader said in Uttar Pradesh that there is going to be a fight between “kamal ka jhanda and tiranga” (BJP and India).
“Those who hold rallies with BJP flags are allowed in Uttar Pradesh, but FIR is registered against those who do the same with the Indian flag,” he said, referring to the filing of a police case against 517 AAP workers, including Sisodia. and himself, in Agra recently.
