UP 2022 polls: Corrupt BJP-led government, AAP claims while presenting poll promises ahead of UP 2022 polls

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) last week criticized the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government for alleged corruption, announcing a slew of benefits if they vote for power in the state next year.

The benefits included free electricity, water and medical care for residents.

The party’s top leaders, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, also said that it would reach out to all people in the state, regardless of caste and community, as AAP has decided to make BR Ambedkar’s dreams come true.

The announcement was made during a press conference held as part of the AAP’s ‘Tiranga Sankalp Yatra’ in Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar.

“The objective of the Tiranga Yatra is to ensure the ‘aan baan shaan’ (pride, honor and glory) of the tricolor in the 75th year of the country’s independence. Uttar Pradesh’s policy has nicked the ‘aan baan shaan’ of the tricolor, ”said Sisodia, Delhi’s chief deputy minister.

“The BJP speaks of nationalism but when it comes to providing education to the nation’s children, it is they who usurp the funds for midday food destined for their education by the people in power,” he added.

Citing the death of a pregnant woman in Firozabad due to the alleged unavailability of hospital beds, he criticized the state government for the “lack” of health infrastructure.

“Youth are unemployed, farmers do not get adequate returns for their produce, and people in cities face corruption for doing even the smallest jobs,” he said.

Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh said the AAP will contest the elections in the 403 seats of the Uttar Pradesh assembly and announced a lot of benefits for the people if his party comes to power.

“AAP has resolved to rid UP of corruption, provide quality education to students, adequate returns to farmers for their agricultural products, safety for girls and women in the state,” he said.

“Three hundred units of power supply will be free for the poor, the water supply will be free, medical care will be free, employment will be guaranteed for young people, and if they do not find work, they will be given unemployment benefit,” Singh. he said, adding that his party has committed to fulfilling these promises before the tricolor.

The AAP leader said in Uttar Pradesh that there is going to be a fight between “kamal ka jhanda and tiranga” (BJP and India).

“Those who hold rallies with BJP flags are allowed in Uttar Pradesh, but FIR is registered against those who do the same with the Indian flag,” he said, referring to the filing of a police case against 517 AAP workers, including Sisodia. and himself, in Agra recently.

“I want to ask if there is a British government in the country. Can’t we celebrate the 75th year of the country’s Independence with the national flag? If not in India, where else should we hold the tricolor? We want (Chief Minister Yogi) Adityanath to know that the Tiranga Yatra will take place in every village in the state, whether there is one FIR against the AAP workers or one hundred, ”he added.
