One of the best reasons to buy a new phone is because your current one is hopelessly out of date. If you have a iPhone 11, upgrading to a iPhone 12 now it’s probably not worth it. You won’t see enough difference in performance and features, especially compared to what will probably come with the iPhone 13. However, if you can hold out until September, your patience will have a chance to pay off.

The calculation is very different for owners of older iPhones like the iPhone X Serie. Opting for the iPhone 12 gives you an advanced A14 Bionic CPU, plus an OLED screen. Those two improvements alone represent a massive update over phones from a few years ago.

Broken Screen, Bad Battery, and Other Reasons to Get That New iPhone Now

Living with a damaged or malfunctioning device is difficult. For example, a cracked screen is hard to ignore as you see the defect on a daily basis. IPhone 12 has a ceramic shield display

One of the great improvements of the iPhone 12 is the material of its screen. Apple calls it “ceramic shield” glass. Manufactured by Corning, the ceramic protective glass that covers the phone screen is harder than most metals. In fact, we can confirm the hardness of the ceramic shield of the iPhone 12. When we put it to the test, the phone arrived with great success. So if you are a big clumsy and you are prone to slips and falls, choosing this current iPhone is a wise move. However, those who feel they can avoid setbacks may want to wait until September. The iPhone 13 is likely to come with a ceramic protector as well.

New features in the works

The iPhone 13 will definitely come with completely new features that the iPhone 12 lacks. the rumor is correct, the device will feature a 120Hz screen and would be the first iPhone to do so. Right now, the iPhone 12 screen has a 60Hz refresh rate. The faster refresh rate will translate into smoother and more agile scrolling through apps and websites. Apple will likely improve the iPhone 13’s camera as well, something the company does every year. So keep in mind that Apple only provides software updates to their phones for a finite period of time. Waiting too long and eventually you will be stuck from the latest operating system.

Price may be the deciding factor

As the saying goes, money talks. If you can find a major deal on the iPhone 12, it may be enough to ease your indecision. Perhaps you are planning to change operators. If so, the wireless service provider you would like to move to may offer special trade-in deals. It could offset much of the cost of a new phone. Also consider waiting until the iPhone 13 is announced. Then, iPhone 12 prices will certainly plummet. According to what turns out to be the iPhone 13, getting a heavily discounted iPhone 12 may be a better option.

And although we do not know for sure what the price of the iPhone will be, we have made educated guesses. It is very likely that it will follow a similar breakdown as the iPhone 12. On the other hand, Apple could sell it for much less. Samsung and Google asked for less cash for the Galaxy S20 FE other Pixel 5 in 2020. Samsung Galaxy S21 It was $ 200 off the previous model.

Fingers crossed.
