PM Kisan Samman Nidhi news: PM Kisan is a central sector scheme with 100% funding from the Government of India. It has been operational as of December 1, 2018. The responsibility for identifying farm families eligible to receive benefits under the scheme rests entirely with the State / UT governments. The existing land ownership / land registration system in different states / territories of the Union will be used to identify the intended beneficiaries for the transfer of plan benefits.

Last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana’s ninth installation. More than Rs 19,500 million was directly transferred to the accounts of more than Rs 9.75 million of beneficiary farming families on August 9, 2021.

The Government launched the Central Sector Plan: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) to provide financial assistance of up to Rs 6,000 per year to small and marginalized farmers across the country.

The financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year will be delivered to eligible farmers in three installments of Rs 2,000 every four months / quarter, ie April-July, August-November and December-March.

The Plan is being implemented through an electronic database linked to Aadhaar that contains details of all members of the farmers’ families whose names appear in the land records.

The transfer of the amount to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries may take a few days and to ensure that this farmer can verify the PM-KSNY fee, status, listing, etc.
