Bayern Munich club president Herbert Hainer insists Robert Lewandowski is going nowhere and believes the Polish striker will serve the remaining two years of his contract. The 32-year-old is considered one of the best in the world and has been strongly linked to a move.
Since moving to Bayern Munich in 2014, few players have been as lethal and prolific as Robert Lewandowski with the striker reaching new heights altogether. The 32-year-old has spent seven seasons with the Bavarian giants, making 320 appearances and scoring 294 goals in the process. Not only that, last season, Lewandowski broke Gerd Muller’s record for most goals in the Bundesliga season despite missing more than a month of action.
He has seen the striker become strongly linked to a move away amid rumors and reports that he is interested in a new challenge. Despite Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and some other teams looking for a potential move, Herbert Hainer has refuted any possibility of Lewandowski leaving the club. The Bayern Munich president further added that the Polish international is the best striker in the world and that the club is very happy to have him.
“First of all, in my opinion, Lewandowski is the best striker in the world. We are very happy to have him on our team. He still has two more years on his contract. He will definitely play for Bayern Munch. I already said that a few weeks ago, I could imagine him staying with us longer. You will fulfill your contract. He will definitely play the next two seasons here at Bayern Munich, ”Hainer said, Goal reported.
