Megan Fox stopped by the “Kelly Clarkson Show” studios on Thursday, where the “Transformers” star spoke about the “weird pressure” she feels to be a working mom in Hollywood.
“Hollywood is not adapted for women and us to have lives and be mothers,” Fox told host Kelly Clarkson.
Fox is the mother of three children, ages 4 to 8, whom she shares with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green.

As he explained, the typical Hollywood production is ill-equipped to accommodate pregnancy.
“As an actor, it’s very relentless because you can’t be in front of the camera once you’ve passed a certain stage of pregnancy,” he said. “Once you have the baby it’s like, ‘Okay, well, you’ll have to go breastfeed every two hours and that costs us money and insurance.’
Then after the baby arrives, the actresses face a whole new level of pressure.
“There’s this thing in this industry of something like, ‘Are you giving up? Are you just a mom now? ‘”Fox said.“ There’s a strange pressure that also creates guilt. You’re going to work too soon to satisfy those people. “

Yet Fox is hopeful that change will come as more women rise to power in Hollywood.
“It has been a patriarchy for so long that power has been in the hands of people who do not understand and have not been made to understand,” he explained. “It makes sense that it unfolds this way.”
