Country star Keith Urban’s tour production manager died after falling off a stage before a concert in Ohio.
Randy “Baja” Fletcher, 72, died August 27 in a hospital after falling the day before while preparing for Urban’s appearance at Bash on the Bay on Put-in-Bay Island in Lake Erie. . The Port Clinton News-Herald reported.
Fletcher became Urban’s tour manager in 2011 after working for music stars such as Brooks & Dunn, Waylon Jennings, Randy Travis, and ZZ Top.
Urban said Billboard magazine that Fletcher had an “orbit of light” that once inside “would stay with you forever.”

“I loved him,” Urban said. “We all love him and I am grateful that he has chosen us as his family on the road for 10 years.”
Fletcher received the first Touring Lifetime Achievement Award from the Country Music Association in 2017, describing his five-decade career as “incomparable.”
His only break from five decades of touring came in 1969 when he joined the US Army and toured Vietnam.
