In close competition in Game 6, Atlanta Hawks big man John Collins III threw a monstrous alley-oop right at Joel Embiid’s head.
With the Atlanta Hawks looking to close out at home on Friday night, John collins he used an emphatic alley-oop to get himself, his teammates, and the crowd into gear in the third quarter. Outbid by the Philadelphia 76ers 33-25 in the frame, Collins’ dunk served as a momentum generator heading into the fourth.
If nothing else, put Joel embiid on a poster, even if you probably fouled him by putting him in a headlock just in case.
Collins gets stuck on top of Embiid
In a series full of theatricality, Trae Young always seems to know how to steal the show. Throwing the perfect pass for Collins to hit was the ultimate power move, and it could provide the confidence boost Collins needed. The power forward had just 5 points and 5 rebounds on 2 of 8 shooting in three quarters, well below his typical outing. Fortunately, he didn’t get a whistle for the offensive foul, allowing him to complete one of the most disrespectful dunks we’ve seen in a long time.
With a great night of Seth curry, the Sixers started the fourth quarter with an 80-76 advantage in a win or go home game. Buckle up, NBA fans!
