Jared Padalecki clears up feud rumors with Jensen Ackles over ‘Supernatural’ prequel drama

Brothers for life! Jared padaleckOnce again, I am reiterating that there is no grudge between him and his former ex “Supernatural” co-star, Jensen Ackles.

In June, Padalecki responded to a fan on Twitter who asked if he was involved in a “Supernatural” prequel series, in which Ackles will serve as the narrator and producer. Padalecki said he had not heard of the project. and he was “gutted” for not being involved.

Talking with him New York Times Last week, Padalecki explained that there had been a minor misunderstanding, and he and Ackles had resolved any issues they may have had.

“I hadn’t heard of it, and then he and I chatted [the next morning]. He simply explained, ‘Man, it hasn’t been picked up yet. It’s not even written yet, ‘”Padalecki recalled. “He knows and I know how much ‘Supernatural’ means to both of us.”

Padalecki said that Ackles had not been keeping the news of the prequel series from him, but had instead been playing his cards near the vest.

“It was something that he felt didn’t even exist yet,” Padalecki said. “But he’s been like, ‘Hey, I’ll tell you what’s going on.’

Padalecki explained that he wasn’t trying to start any disagreements or send fans to attack Ackles, or anything like that.

“It was just one of those things that because I was online, and people assumed I was a part of it, I really wanted to say, ‘Hey, I’m not keeping a secret from you. I just don’t know about this, ‘”she shared. “You should be old enough to know better than to post something and hope people understand it.”

Padalecki admitted that it is “difficult to tweet in a specific tone” and therefore “I try to avoid social media as much as possible because of that.”

In June, following his “gutted” tweet, Padalecki tweeted Ackles with a link to an article about the prequel series, and wrote: “Dude. Happy for you. I wish I had found out about this in a way other than Twitter. I’m excited to see it, but it bothers me that Sam Winchester was not involved. “

Padalecki later tweeted that he and Ackles had spoken later, and that their friendship and employment relationship remained intact.

“@JensenAckles and I had a great talk, as we often do, and things are going well,” she wrote. “The show is early in the process with miles to go. We’ve traveled a lot of roads together and sometimes those damn roads have potholes. The blows don’t stop us. Once brothers, always brothers. “

Talking with him New York Times, Padalecki explained the unique nature of his relationship with Ackles, with whom he co-starred as his on-screen brother for all 327 episodes in 15 seasons from “Supernatural”.

“I love Jensen deeply. He is my brother, he has been for many years and always will be, whatever happens, ”said Padalecki. “He has spent more time with me in front of the camera than anyone else, so he knows my strengths and weaknesses more than I do, and vice versa. I respect your opinion. “

ET spoke to Ackles and Padalecki last October about the series finale, and Padalecki spoke about their close friendship.

“There were a lot of tears everywhere, but Ackles and I looked at each other like, ‘Man,'” she shared. “It was like finishing the Seattle marathon. We did it. Dude, we made it, you know? We got down to business … I’ve been with you for 15 years, 15 and a half years. I’ve seen you sweat. I’ve seen you bleed I’ve seen you hurt. I’ve seen you go through things personally and put them aside for this show, for your character and I know I’ve done the same and it was bittersweet. But it was sweet, man. Was happy “.

“I felt like I could do this again,” he added. Even after 15 seasons. Let’s call Peter Roth and Mark Pedowitz and see if they’ll take us for 15 more. “
