IRCTC Executive Lounge – 24-hour ‘Pop n Hop’ Food Court for Passengers at New Delhi Train Station – Check out the menu, space, services and more

Taking passenger comfort to another level and to offer a tastefully enhanced travel experience, Indian Railway Catering And Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) offered a new food court for passengers at New Delhi railway station on Friday.

This square was first opened by a female passenger and the Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw also visited the train station.

It also inaugurated the Food Plaza established by IRCTC on the Ajmeri Gate side of the station.

The Minister also inspected the food stalls and kiosks on the platforms and advised them to install digital methods for paying for services.

The ‘Pop n Hop’ food court at Platform No 16 towards Ajmeri Gate is one of the most exquisite and extensive food and beverage facilities created by IRCTC for passengers and tourists.

With the opening of this Food Plaza, passengers and tourists visiting the New Delhi train station will no longer have to search for quality food or bring food from home, as the new delicious items center promises to offer quality food to tempt taste buds. at reasonable prices.

`Pop n Hop` will remain open to passengers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It has been installed on a massive 6000 square feet. With entrances on Platform No. 16 and also on the outer side of the station building, the Food Plaza also has take-out counters and space for a quick bite on the ground floor and a large communal dining room on the first floor.

Take-out counters have been installed in front of the platform side for passengers to directly access and purchase their meals before arriving or after finishing their trips.

Aiming to bring an exciting taste of Indian and continental food, IRCTC has brought together leading national and international food companies in the stylish new food court, offering a wide and more select variety of regional and transnational delicacies. for arriving guests.

IRCTC promises to pamper food court visitors with delicious burgers, pizzas, rolls, wraps, Indian Mithais, sandwiches and curries, smoothies and mock-tails, etc., under one roof.

It is noteworthy that IRCTC has played a pivotal role in revolutionizing the hotel and catering business of Indian railways across the country.

Ashwini Vaishnaw, during his visit to the New Delhi railway station, started the cleaning tour on the “Swachhata Pakhwada” railways.

The Minster was accompanied by Suneet Sharma, Chairman and CEO of the Board of Railways, and senior officials from the Board of Railways and Northern Railway.

Upon arrival at the station, the minister was informed about the methods of cleaning the station platforms and tracks.

He became very interested in cleaning equipment, from a coach-mounted cleaning machine to the mechanized scrubber.

The Minster operated the scooter to scrub the floor for some distance on the deck.

He was also presented with a jacket and cap from the cleaning campaign by the Scouts and Guides volunteers.

Later he inspected the waiting rooms and witnessed a presentation by Nukad Natak on the importance of “Swachhata” conducted by the Delhi Division Cultural Society.

The Minister inaugurated the “Wheel Chair Services” kiosk based on an application in the circulation area.

Wheelchair service can be booked in advance for Divyangjan and seniors through the downloadable app from the Google Play Store.

The wheelchair is a comfortable motorized system powered by an assistant that takes the passenger to the train car.

He also inspected the food stalls and kiosks on the platforms and advised them to install digital methods for paying for services.

He interacted with the passengers and asked them about their travel experiences on the Indian railways.

Most of the passengers appreciated the services provided by the railways.

He then visited a pandal established for Vishwakarma Puja at the power substation and participated in rituals there.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday and said that Railways is launching an intense fifteen-day clean-up campaign on Railways, the Swachhata Pakhwada.

He advised staff and officials to ensure that this level of cleanliness is always maintained throughout the rail system at all times.

He also said that more Vande Bharat express trains will be incorporated for faster and more convenient travel.
