Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 2, 2022: Model says start Amon-Ra St. Brown, but feel Tom Brady

Baltimore wide receiver Devin Duvernay was one of the biggest fantasy upsets in the Ravens’ Week 1 win against the Jets with two touchdowns and 54 receiving yards. Many expected the immediate benefit of the team trading Marquise Brown in the offseason would be Rashod Bateman, but he had five targets to Duvernay’s four. Where should Baltimore’s pass receivers be in your Week 2 fantasy football rankings? Can Michael Thomas keep it going for fantasy football lineups in New Orleans? Will Aaron Rodgers bounce back from a lousy Week 1 showing and move up the Fantasy Football QB ranks? Before you set your lineups, be sure to check Advanced Computer Model Week 2 Fantasy Football Rankings on SportsLine.

When it comes to ranking players, SportsLine’s model outperformed human experts in fantasy football during the last seasons, especially when there were big differences in the classification. Over the course of a season, that could literally be the difference between winning the league or going home empty-handed.

Last week, the model was extremely excited about Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown, saying he would finish in the top 10 players at his position. The result: Brown scored 10 of 13 targets for 155 yards in the Eagles’ 38-35 win over the Lions. Anyone who had him in his lineup was well on his way to a great week.

Now the model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has revealed its fantasy football standings for Week 2 of the 2022 NFL season. Head over to SportsLine now to watch them.

The best fantasy football picks of week 2

A model player this week: Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. He finished as the Lions’ leading scorer in Week 1 with 12, which he converted on eight receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown. St. Brown did most of his damage in the third quarter of Detroit’s Week 1 loss to Philadelphia, when he caught two passes for 32 yards and his touchdown.

Last week, a similar wide receiver in Christian Kirk was able to set the Commanders on fire with six catches for 117 yards, so St. Brown should be able to find room to make plays. Washington’s defense gave up the second-most passing yards in Week 1 (191), so St. Brown looks poised to deliver on his ranking just outside the top 15 in the Fantasy Football WR rankings for the Week. two.

And one big surprise: Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, who led the league with 5,316 passing yards last season, stumbles big and doesn’t even crack the top 10 at his position. Brady led the Buccaneers to a Week 1 victory over the Cowboys, but finished with just 212 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Brady and the Bucs will face a familiar foe on Sunday when they travel to New Orleans to play the Saints. In his last game against New Orleans, Brady completed just 26 of 48 passing attempts for 214 yards and zero touchdowns. He has now thrown for 215 yards or less in three of his last four games against the Saints. With such a tough matchup on Sunday, Brady is a player to watch on the bench in Week 2.

How to set Week 2 Fantasy Football Rankings
