Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid’s comments about Juan Thornhill are very strange.
After suffering his first loss of the season, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid makes a strange comment about not playing safety Juan Thornhill anymore.
Reid said Daniel Sorensen had the best camp on Thornhill. While Sorensen is the most established and astute veteran player, his ceiling is nowhere near as high as Thornhill’s. Given they just lost a tough game to the Baltimore Ravens, and one in which the Chiefs could have used Thornhill more, Reid is clearly showing his BYU by backing Sorensen.
Nobody is undefeated this year, but the bosses need to fix their defense here fast.

While it’s too early to say that the rest of the AFC has caught up with the Chiefs, how many people outside of Baltimore thought the Ravens were going to win at Sunday night football? Since Reid is an offensive-minded coach, he should give in to what Steve Spagnuolo thinks is best when handling his defense. The Chiefs will win 12 or more games, but the defense has been suspect.
Kansas City has time to turn it around, but the Chiefs need to face the best 11 players on defense.
