BSE, NSE will be closed on Wednesday due to Bakri-id; MCX, NCDEX to open NOW

The Indian equity, currency and derivatives markets will be closed on Wednesday July 21, 2021 on behalf of Bakri-id. The Commodity Markets (MCX) will be closed for the first session between 9 am and 5 pm while they will remain open for the second session between 5 pm and 11: 30/11: 55 pm.

National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) will be closed for the first half of trading sessions between 9 am and 5 pm. It will open to the public between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. NCDEX is one of the leading agricultural commodities exchanges in India.

Most of the major indices, including Nifty 50, Nifty Next 50, Nifty Midcap 50, Nifty Bank and Nifty Financial Services all ended in the red on Tuesday.

  5. Nifty Media, Nifty IT, Nifty Metal and Nifty Pharma all ended in the red on Tuesday. Nifty FMCG finished in green.

Today, USDINR futures ended at 74.7200 on the BSE against the USD moving with a negative bias and down 0.43 percent from Monday’s closing price.
