Teddy Bridgewater provided a poor tackle attempt in a key game during the Denver Broncos’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and the quarterback made no excuses.
Melvin Gordon missed a mistake while trying to turn a 4-and-1 run at Denver 23 late in the third quarter. Darius Slay fumbled and returned it 87 yards for a touchdown to swing play in Philly’s favor at 27-13. Bridgewater had a chance to take down Slay, but he completely relying on his tackle.
Bridgewater held himself accountable for the drama while speaking to the media on Monday. He said Broncos coach Vic Fangio called him in the movie room and he deserved criticism.
