Amazon Prime Day 2021: The Best Amazon Echo Deals We’ve Seen So Far

This story is part of Amazon Prime Day 2021, CNET’s guide to everything you need to know and how to make sure you get the best deal.

Amazon Prime Day (June 21-22) brings savings in many categories, but some of the best deals can consistently be found on Echo devices with Alexa on board. So if you’ve been thinking about buying an Echo, Prime Day is usually the best time of year to do it.

Alexa’s deals are already on the rise with just a few days left until Prime Day. The latest full-size Echo and smaller Echo Dot speakers are available now at the lowest prices ever, but you have to buy two of each to get the discount. Other offers may drop even further once Prime Day starts, but in the meantime, current sales are worth looking at.

We’ll keep updating this and all of our other Prime Day deals pages as more and better discounts come out, but for now, this is where you’ll find the best of what the run-up to Prime Day has to offer.

Chris Monroe / CNET

The spherical Amazon Echo debuted in September 2020 and has spent most of the time from $ 80 to $ 100. Although this exclusive offer for Amazon Prime members requires the purchase of two Alexa speakers, after using the discount code ECHOPRIME To reduce $ 80 from the price of both, you have an average price of $ 60 each ($ 120 in total for both). That’s the lowest price we’ve seen on the current generation, full-size Amazon Echo, and it’s now available to Prime members.

Chris Monroe / CNET

As in the previous full-size Amazon Echo speaker deal, Prime members use the code PDDOT2PK You can save $ 40 on the purchase of two Echo Dots, bringing the price per speaker down to $ 25 (both together are $ 50 after discount). And like the unit price on its bigger siblings, that makes this the best deal we’ve seen on the next-gen Echo Dot, and it’s available now.

Amazon

Amazon’s next-gen upgrade to your Echo Show 8 smart speaker comes bundled here with a Blink Mini security camera for $ 140, which is a $ 25 discount (total retail price for both would be $ 165) with Amazon. Prime Day several days away. . Will the price drop further? We’ll have to wait and see.

Amazon

Similar to the previous deal, but with the recently updated Echo Show 5 in place of its bigger brother. This package saves you $ 25 too, but that represents a higher percentage off overall, as Show 5’s starting price is $ 85 (compared to Show 8’s $ 130). Will Amazon go down? Only time will tell.

Offers that we hope to return or that will come soon

Amazon

Some of the best Prime Day deals are often found in bundles like this one, where Amazon pairs an Alexa device, like this Echo Dot, with a popular smart home device, like this Sengled Bluetooth smart bulb. These types of offers can be difficult to calculate the total discount, since there are two items whose prices fluctuate over time. But that’s why we are here, to do the heavy lifting for you. At press time, this pack is $ 45, but it was $ 35 last week and has dropped to $ 29 in the past. The bulb usually sells for $ 10 and the full price of the Echo Dot is $ 50, so you’re saving around $ 31 if our prediction comes true on Prime Day.

Chris Monroe / CNET

Amazon’s second-generation Echo Show 8 will drop from $ 130 to $ 95 on Prime Day, a nice $ 35 discount. The device features an 8-inch HD touchscreen for viewing photos, watching videos from apps like Netflix or Amazon. Prime Video or make video calls with the 13 megapixel camera. If you don’t want to bundle any additional smart home items together, this is a great deal on a device that we consider to be one of the best Alexa smart displays.

Tyler Lizenby / CNET

If your car has an auxiliary port but no Bluetooth, the Echo Audio is a great way to add wireless connectivity to your stereo system, in addition to Alexa. But in almost all other scenarios, Echo Audio just introduces an extra step (and point of failure) between your phone and the car stereo, and in truth, Alexa isn’t nearly as useful on the road as it is at home. Regardless, $ 15 for a device that normally retails for $ 50 is a steal, so if you’ve been hesitant about bringing Alexa, now is a good time to give it a try.
