I admit I used to be one of those people who drove my vegetarian friends crazy with questions like, “But how do you get enough protein?” Like most of society, he had the belief that the only true The way to obtain all the protein we need for optimal functioning was through animal products. Well my friends, after years of delving into the subject, my eyes have been opened to the fact that eating a plant-based diet has great benefits, both for our body. other for the planet. That’s why I rounded up some of my favorite vegetarian protein dinners.
Through a diet rich in vegetables, legumes, good grains, seeds and nuts, our body will easily obtain all the amino acids (which form a “complete” protein) that it needs. Kimberly Snyder broke it down for us here earlier in the year, and now it all makes a lot more sense. She also predicts that the plant-based life form will only continue to gain momentum, so the more we know, the better!
While I do incorporate small amounts of meat and fish into my diet a few times a week, many more of our meals these days get all of their nutrients from plant sources.
If you want to learn more about the benefits of a plant-based diet, here are some sources that I highly recommend: Forks on knives (the movie), Eat vegan before 6:00, The Beauty Detox solution.
